Arsenal have been warned: Hull City will play defensive football at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Hull goalkeeper Steve Harper has revealed that the team will be making it very tough for the Gunners to break them down in the Premier League clash.
‘You have to be defensively tight when you go down to a place like Arsenal and you need to be on top of your game because they will ask serious questions of you’, the 39-year-old told Hull’s official website.
‘We’ll have to go down there and remain compact and be hard to break down and frustrate them as we have shown before that we can upset these sides’.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and his players will probably not be surprised by the defensive strategy that Hull are going to use on Saturday. After all, the North London club often have to face teams in the Premier League who drop deep and shut up shop.
Hull seem to be looking to do the same at the Emirates, but can anyone blame them? The Tigers’ main goal this season is not to suffer relegation from the Premier League, and a point at Arsenal will be hugely beneficial to that cause.
Steve Bruce’s side will head into the encounter placed 11th in the league table with nine points from seven matches, five points above the relegation zone.
