Tottenham Hotspur winger Nacer Chadli may be fit for the weekend showdown with Manchester City after all.
The Daily Mail claims the Belgian international – who aggravated a hip injury while on international duty – is still very much in Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for the lunch-time kick-off that signals the return of Premier League football.
The report goes on to claim that Tottenham’s medical staff are making daily checks on the 25-year-old and are hopeful he will be available this weekend. However it is stated that they will not make a final decision until as late as possible.
Chadli has shone for Tottenham this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in their opening seven matches.
Given the importance of the match against City, it is no surprise that Pochettino is desperate to have his most in-form player on the pitch; but only time will tell if Chadli does overcome his latest setback.
