Southampton host Sunderland on Saturday with Ronald Koeman’s side looking to maintain their place in the top-four and the Black Cats hoping to add to their first win of the season prior to the international break.

The Saints are currently third in the Premier League while Sunderland are five points behind them in 13th.

Southampton injury concerns: Sam Gallagher has a 75 per cent chance of playing after recovering from a knee injury, while Lloyd Isgrove has recovered from a knock but lacks match fitness.

Southampton absences: Koeman is without long-term absentees Jay Rodriguez (knee injury) and James Ward-Prowse (foot injury) while Maya Yoshida is also not expected back just yet due to an ankle problem.

Sunderland injury concerns: Gus Poyet has no new injury concerns going into this match.

Sunderland absences: Sebastian Coates remaind out with a knock and is not expected back until early November. Emanuele Giaccherini is also out with an ankle injury, while Ricky Alvarez is not available due to a knock.
