Look how far the Swansea trio have come just two and a half years later...
A year is a long time in football. So imagine what can happen in two and a half...
Well, the above photo sums it all up, really. A beaming Brendan Rodgers, then Swansea City boss, is now into his third season as Liverpool manager, while the player he is celebrating with, Garry Monk, is now in charge at the Liberty Stadium.
But a lot of the 35-year-old's success so far this term is down to the third man in the picture.
Yes, Gylfi Sigurdsson has been to Spurs and back since this photograph was taken. The Iceland midfielder enjoyed two seasons as White Hart Lane but failed to make enough of an impact to become a Tottenham player for the long run.
Instead, he re-joined Swansea this summer - and the rest has been history.
In many ways, though, Rodgers, Monk and Sigurdsson together, celebrating after a league game with Manchester City, were sowing the seeds of the Swans' future achievements - arguably Liverpool's, too.
Who knows where the trio will be this time in two and a half years?
