The former Spurs and Liverpool striker says he is happier than he has ever been at the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch says he is happier than he has ever been at the Britannia Stadium.

The former England forward has had spells at several Premier League clubs during his career, spending time at Anfield with Liverpool, as well as being a Tottenham Hotspur player on two separate occasions.

Crouch also turned out for the likes of Queens Park Rangers, Southampton and Aston Villa.

But, despite playing in the Champions League for the Reds and Spurs, the target man says he is happier now with the Potters than at any other club in his career.

“I’m happy at Stoke at the minute, probably happier than I have ever been really. I’m playing and I think we have some great players at the football club," the 33-year-old told the Daily Mirror.

“At times I have said I’ve felt a bit isolated playing up front on my own, but now with Victor Moses, with Mame Diouf - players with a lot of pace, getting in and around me - I’m loving every minute of it.

“If there is the option to stay here, I’d take it and stay for as long as I can.

“At the moment, this is my fourth season here and I’d like to extend that and be here as long as possible because I still feel I’ve got a lot to offer. I’m playing with a smile on my face.”

Stoke host Swansea City in their next Premier League action this Sunday at 4pm.
