Concerns over the longevity of Dutch goalkeeper Tim Krul's injury have been allayed, according to the latest Newcastle United news.
Tim Krul received good news earlier today, Wednesday.
It was initially feared that the Newcastle United shot-stopper could be a medium to long-term absentee due to his elbow injury, however, the club have confirmed that, following further assessment, the extent of the damage is "very minor."
The Magpies released the following statement, via Sky Sports: "Tim Krul has been further assessed today by the Newcastle United's medical staff and the club can confirm that he has nothing more than a very minor elbow injury."
The recovery from the injury means there is immediate impact for the club's imminent opponents Leicester City this weekend.
Newcastle are scheduled to take on Leicester City on Saturday, October 18 at St. James' Park.
"The club will continue to monitor the situation but are confident that he will be available for the game against Leicester City on Saturday," the statement concluded.
