Mjallby backs Ronny Deila
Johan Mjallby has backed Ronny Deila to be a success at Celtic if given time.
Mjallby spent 10 years at Parkhead before following Neil Lennon out of the door this summer and he believes that the management team that replaced him can turn things around after a poor start.
“I know Celtic have been struggling in the league but they are going to have to give the new manager time," he said to the Daily Record.
“The manager needs to get his tactics over to the squad and how he wants them to perform.”
Matthews warns of tough test
Adam Matthews is not being complacent about Celtic's chances of beating Ross County this weekend.
Ronny Deila's side will be the favourites to win the match, but after their poor start Matthews is expecting a tough test again on Saturday.
“It’s going to be a tough game against Ross County, but it’s an important one in our season as we need to get the three points to try and get a run going," he said to the club's official site.
“It’s not an easy place to get a result at but we're confident that if we play the way we can, we can go there and win well – that’s our aim.
“We will take a win, but we want a performance as well, and if we play the way we know we can, I’m sure can do that.
“It will be a good one to be involved in and I’m sure all the boys will be up for it and hopefully I can play a part.”
