There has rarely been any love lost between Stoke City and Arsenal players, and so it proved at international level on Tuesday night.
Lukas Podolski came off the bench for Germany against Ireland, and found himself in the centre of a diving storm.
Irishman Jon Walters was furious with the gamesmanship from the Arsenal forward, and vented his anger at him, Roy Keane style.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Toni Kroos scoring for Germany and John O'Shea netting a last minute equaliser for Ireland on his 100th appearance.
World champions Germany are now winless in their last three matches, hammered 4-1 by Argentina in a friendly last month, and beaten 2-0 by Poland in Euro 2016 qualification at the weekend.
Next up, it's better news. In November they take on Gibraltar, who Ireland beat 7-0 at the weekend. Podolski may even fancy his chances of scoring in that one.
