Leeds sensation Chris Dawson thanks first team star after two-goal under-21 display

After a two goal display for the under-21s, Leeds United prospect Chris Dawson received praise from the club captain.

Who needs Adryan, when you have Chris Dawson?

With the Brazilian signing left out of Leeds United's under-21 side on Monday, Dawson stepped up to hit a brace in a win over their Bristol City counterparts.

Adryan's absence may have hinted at plans for head coach Darko Milanic to play him in the first team against Rotherham United on Friday, but Dawson showed he is not far off either.

His goals have not gone unnoticed, with club captain Jason Pearce sending him a message on Twitter acknowledging his display.

Dawson is in an impressive run of form, also netting in the 6-0 win over Doncaster Rovers last week.

At only 20-years-old, the Welsh under-21 international is threatening to add to the selection dilemmas at Leeds, with Adryan, Steve Morison, Brian Montenegro and Billy Sharp all pushing for first team opportunities having been out of the side of late.

Dawson last week said he would be open to the idea of going out on loan, and if there are no chances forthcoming between now at January at the club, this would be a wise idea.

He is full of confidence and playing excellent football, and this is a great time to capitalise on this by giving him first team action, at Leeds or elsewhere, in order to aid his development.
