Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky speaks about his new injury blow

Rosicky In Action

Arsenal have suffered yet another injury setback but how serious is it?

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has been speaking about the injury he suffered on international duty with the Czech Republic.

The Gunners player suffered a knock in Friday’s encounter and was later ruled out of the clash with Kazakhstan on Monday.

It is the latest injury blow for Arsenal, who have already lost the likes of Mesut Ozil and Mathieu Debuchy, and in quotes published by the Mirror, Rosicky had his say on the situation.

“I couldn’t do any sharp movement, couldn’t sprint,” he said. “If I tried to play in one tempo I wouldn’t make any difference for the team.

“I’ll come back to London and we’ll see. The doctor said I have something swollen between the muscles.”

Rosicky has made five appearances for Arsenal this season, but has only featured twice in the Premier League to date, spending the majority of the time on the bench.

That said, Ozil’s injury may have seen him given more chances, but for now he will have to wait to find out the extent of his own untimely setback.
