Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey did not play for Wales on Monday, but he was still delighted with the national team’s latest win.
The Dragons got the better of Cyprus 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium in Wales in the Euro 2016 Group B qualifier on Monday.
David Cotterill and Hal Robson-Kanu were on target for Wales against the European minnows, but the hosts had to play most of the second half with just 10 men after Andy King was sent off for committing a foul on Constantinos Makridis.
Ramsey is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury that he picked up against Tottenham Hotspur. The Arsenal star, though, was following Wales and took to social networking site Twitter to revel in the victory over Cyprus.
Great effort again by the boys tonight! 7 out of 9 points is a great start to the campaign #TogetherStronger— Aaron Ramsey (@aaronramsey) October 13, 2014
Wales are currently at the top of Group B with seven points from three matches. Israel are second with six points from two games, while Belgium are third with four.
