Sunderland's Billy Jones has praised the form Southampton have shown in the opening week of the Premier League season.
The right-back feels that they play with great energy and admits that it will be a tough test for his side when they travel to face Southampton at the weekend - even if they will be aiming to grab the three points.
“We know exactly what to expect and although they have made a lot of new signings under a new manager they seem to have gelled really well," he said to Sunderland's official site.
“I haven’t seen too many of their games live, but they seem like they have goals in the team and I know from Southampton teams I have played in the past that they will be full of energy.
“I’m sure it will be a really tough game but as I said we have a lot of confidence and hopefully we can get the three points.”
Sunderland go into the game on the back of their first victory of the season, against Stoke City, and they will be hoping that they will be enough to carry them through what looks a challenging fixture.
Saints are in third position in the league table, after compensating for the losses of key stars over the summer well.
Dusan Tadic and Graziano Pelle look to be threats to any defence in the division and Jones will know that he will have to be on top form if they are to shut-out the South-Coast side's attacking threat on Saturday.
If they can do so, it will be the best result they have picked up during the campaign so far and it should propel Gus Poyet's men up the table after a rather inconsistent start.
