According to a tweet from former IGN Editor Jeremy Conrad, the PS4 instalment to the Ratchet and Clank series could be shown at Sony's upcoming PlayStation Experience event scheduled for 6-7th December. Conrad said, 'RUMOR is that Insomniac will show Ratchet at the Sony event as it's well after the release of Sunset Overdrive.'

Insomniac's latest title Sunset Overdrive is due for release on 28th October, so it would make sense for the devs to wait until after that date before speaking of other projects.
Further tweets from Conrad say that the game is set to coincide with the release of the Ratchet and Clank movie, which is being worked on by Rainmaker Entertainment and Blockade Entertainment. And, most-interestingly, another tweet from Conrad claims: 'RUMOR is it looks just like the movie. Like some scenes from the movie in realtime.'

Take a look at the movie trailer footage shown during Sony's E3 press conference this year, to see what you could be getting on PS4 if the rumour is true.
A PlayStation Blog post from Insomniac Game's Ryan Schneider earlier this year confirmed fans could expect to see their first glimpse of the PS4 title 'this fall.' So, it looks likely the PlayStation Experience event will be where it'll happen. Thanks, Gamepur.
The Ratchet and Clank movie, and game for PS4, are set to coincide with their releases in the first half of 2015.
Like with any rumours or unofficial speculation, take this with a pinch, bucket, truck-load of salt, until something official has been announced. But, it's always nice to speculate, no?
