Newcastle United attacker Siem de Jong may be injured at the moment, but he is still doing charity work.
On Sunday, the 25-year-old was back at his former club Ajax to launch the Ajax Foundation run.
The Netherlands international was delighted to have contributed to the project and posted the following photo and message on Instagram:

Ajax were also happy to have their former player back and be involved in the social side of football.
De Jong joined Newcastle from Ajax in the summer transfer window for a reported fee of £6 million, but he has been on the sidelines since early September due to an injury to his right thigh.
The Mag quotes him as saying about his injury: ‘It is hard to say really when I will be fit again. It is going well and I feel good but it is a nasty injury. I hate it even more as you want to help the team but you can’t’.
Newcastle are currently third from bottom in the Premier League table with four points from seven matches and have yet to win a league game this season.
