Manchester United supporters take to social networking site Twitter to have their say on David de Gea’s first competitive start for Spain on Sunday.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea finally made his first competitive Spain on Sunday.

The 23-year-old started Spain’s Euro 2016 Group C qualifier against Luxembourg at the Stade Josy Barthel which they won 4-0.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has long been the first choice for the 2010 World Cup winners, but he was finally dropped from the starting line-up by coach Vicente del Bosque.

Casillas, who was linked with Arsenal and Liverpool in the summer transfer window, has come under scrutiny for his recent performances, with his high-profile errors in the last few months hitting the headlines.

De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and is now likely to remain as Spain’s first-choice.
