Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher comments on England duo Raheem Sterling and Jack Wilshere

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher comments on Raheem Sterling’s reluctance to start for England against Estonia in the Euro 2016 qualifier on Sunday.

One of the major talking points from England’s 1-0 victory over Estonia at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn on Sunday was the omission of Raheem Sterling from the starting line-up.

Speaking to ITV before the match, England manager Roy Hodgson revealed that the Liverpool winger had told him during Saturday's training session that he was ‘feeling a little bit tired’ (click here to read more).

Hodgson’s revelations have started a debate. Was Sterling right to pull out of the England line-up? Should the Three Lions boss have made the 19-year-old’s wishes public?

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has waded into the debate, having his say on the matter on social networking site Twitter while also praising Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere for his performance in England’s 1-0 victory in the Euro 2016 Group E qualifier.
