Wayne Rooney scored what proved to be a winning free-kick for England in their tightly fought 1-0 win over Estonia yesterday, Sunday.
This morning the Football Association's YouTube account, FATV, published another great Rooney free-kick, this one though was captured in training the day before the clash with Estonia.
Rooney was practising the set-piece alongside James Milner, with his ex-United team-mate Gary Neville watching on.
The club and country skipper is seen in the video curling a brilliant free-kick over the fake wall and into the top left corner of the net, leaving England's number one, Joe Hart, with no chance of saving it.
With the ball crashing into the top corner, Neville is heard shouting his appreciation, whilst Hart offers Rooney advice ahead of the Estonia clash.
The Manchester City keeper is heard shouting to Rooney: “Do it tomorrow lad. There’s plenty of cameras there”.
The skipper certainly didn't let his team-mate down in the qualifier, and although the free-kick against Estonia was not quite as glamorous as the one he dispatched in training, it was certainly a lot more important.
