Sterling did come on as a substitute in the 64th minute, as England edged past 10-man Estonia 1-0 at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.

Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute to ensure that England remain at the top of Group E with three wins out of three.
