The Three Lions won 1-0 in Tallinn but it was a close call for Roy Hodgson's men, as the Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool men expressed their frustration...

It was another paradoxical night for England in Estonia on Sunday. The Three Lions left Tallinn with a 1-0 win, meaning three victories out of three in their bid to qualify for Euro 2016 - and a maximum nine points out of nine.

It was paradoxical, though, because this was a truly dire performance from Roy Hodgson's side. A similar display would have sent England straight onto the next plane out of France if this was a major tournament - just as it did in Brazil earlier this summer.

And the frustration was palpable as a Three Lions side devoid of any creativity and energy (except for the okay-performing Jack Wilshere) struggled to break down an Estonia side that would see their captain sent off in the second half.

In the end, relief prevailed as Wayne Rooney struck with a cleverly curled free kick into the bottom corner. But the Manchester United striker did not even come close from open play. His expression said it all at half-time, while Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck and Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson were also caught on camera showing their frustrations while the scores were deadlocked.

Hodgson's men left Estonia with three points in the end - but it was a close call. Here are the best images from the game!
