Below are the best pictures from Poland’s Euro 2016 Group D qualifier against Germany on Saturday, featuring Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and Manchester United’s failed summer transfer Toni Kroos.
Poland staged the biggest upset of the 2016 European Championship qualification campaign so far when they got the better of Germany at home on Saturday.
The 2014 World Cup winners went into the Group D clash at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw as favourites, having a superior team with world-class players.
However, it was Poland who emerged victorious from the contest, winning it 2-0. Arkadiusz Milik put the hosts in the lead on 51 minutes, and Sebastian Mila added a second two minutes from full time.
It was the first time in 19 competitive matches that Germany had lost and saw them slip down to third in the group with three points from two matches.
Poland are currently at the top of Group D with six points from two games, level on points with the Republic of Ireland but with a superior goal difference.
The match in Warsaw on Saturday was hugely entertaining, and below are the best pictures from the encounter.
