Liverpool morning news: Italian linked; £25m ‘good value’ for summer signing

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Liverpool

Liverpool are among the clubs to have been linked with Juventus player Sebastian Giovinco.

The 27-year-old will be a free agent next summer and the Reds, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with him.

The Sunday Express claims Liverpool are monitoring the situation, with the palyer himself recently admitting that he could move on from the Serie A champions at the end of the current season.

In other news, ex-Southampton owner Rupert Lowe has claimed Liverpool’s summer signing Adam Lallana is well worth the club’s £25million outlay.

After an injury-hit start to his career at Anfield, the England international had an impressive game against West Bromwich Albion, and Lowe has hinted that is a sign of things to come.

In quotes published by the Liverpool Echo, Lowe said, “Relative to some of the fees being paid for other players I think the purchase of Adam represents good value.

“Some of the other fees are ridiculous but Liverpool have got a very gifted player. Adam sees a pass and is fantastic on the ball. He’s a very decent boy.”
