PlayStation Powers trailer screen 1

The Powers comic book live-action series hits PlayStation Network this December, and the first trailer teases what's in store.

A first look at PlayStation's exclusive 'Powers' series was shown at a panel during New York Comic Con this weekend. The co-creator of the Powers comic book and executive producer of the PlayStation series, Brian Michael Bendis, revealed the very first trailer.

Powers will be PlayStation Network's first original program, and is due to arrive this December, running for around 10 episodes. It will be free to PlayStation Plus members.

The show centres on two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, played by Sharlto Copley (District 9) and Susan Heyward (The Following) respectively. The pair must investigate cases involving 'powers', men and women with super-human abilities. Take  look at the trailer below - there are sweary bits, so viewer discretion is advised.
