Krul has starred in goal for Newcastle so far this season, while Cisse is Alan Pardew's top scorer with four Premier League goals.
And Srnicek feels the two are cutting leader-like figures at St James' Park.
"At the moment, the two most important players in Newcastle’s dressing room are Tim Krul and Papiss Cisse," Srnicek wrote in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
"They are doing more than anyone else in there to keep Newcastle’s heads above water and I have been impressed with both.
"There were question marks around Cisse after last season but, sometimes, something just clicks for a player. I think he knew that he was on his last chance as a Newcastle player and sometimes, the pressure can really make you play well. I think he saw he had a lifeline that he didn’t expect to have, and he grabbed it.
"I was delighted for Tim that he made such important saves against Swansea. He arrived back at Newcastle after the World Cup full of confidence after he saved those penalties in the shoot-out against Costa Rica but he was brought down to earth with a bump in the early weeks of the season."
However, Dutchman Krul could now miss Newcastle's clash with Leicester City through an elbow injury, report the Shields Gazette.
