Chelsea's youngsters had a game to remember against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Chelsea’s under-18s demolished their Aston Villa counterparts on Saturday afternoon, winning 12-2 after initially falling behind.

It was an outstanding performance from the Blues youngsters, with both Miro Muheim and Jeremie Boga both netting hat-tricks.

There were also braces from two of Chelsea’s other young stars – Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham - while Ike Ugbo and Kyle Scott got in on the goal-scoring action.

It was an absolutely remarkable score-line, especially when you consider that Villa had gone 2-0 up with just 15 minutes on the clock. But that was far from the end of the story, and Chelsea roared back to ensure they did not just win, but win in style.

Attacking midfielder Boga is particularly exciting and could well go on to make it in the Blues’ first-team. His eye for goal is brilliant and he is making huge waves at Stamford Bridge.

But as we have seen before, young players do not always go on to harness their full potential, so only time will tell if this is just the start, both for Boga and for the other players who romped to such an impressive victory this weekend.
