West Ham United midfielder Stewart Downing has been singing the praises of Diafra Sakho.
The Senegal international striker joined the Hammers from French club Metz in the summer transfer window.
Sakho has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, scoring four goals in just five appearances.
The form and goals of the 24-year-old have been key in West Ham’s impressive start to the season, and Downing has hailed his teammate.
‘With five goals in five games Diafra Sakho has deservedly taken the plaudits for his performances so far’, the 30-year-old wrote on West Ham’s official website. ‘Diafra is a very quick, powerful striker and he'll only get better as the season progresses’.
West Ham are currently seventh in the Premier League table with 10 points from seven matches, just a point behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
