Spurs morning news: Yedlin shines, possible £5m boost, striker linked

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a £15million move for West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino.

The England under-21 international has built up a good partnership with Harry Kane at international level and, according to the Sun, he could one day play alongside the Spurs forward at White Hart Lane.

In other news, the Daily Star reports that Tottenham are in line for £5milllion if Hamburg ultimately sign the on-loan Lewis Holtby.

The report claims that is the fee settled upon between the two clubs when a clause was written into the player’s contract, prompting the German side to make the move permanent if Holtby made three appearances this season.

That has already happened, meaning Spurs could soon be in possession of an additional transfer kitty.

And finally, DeAndre Yedlin impressed for the USA in their 1-1 draw with Ecuador in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The right-back was signed by Tottenham during the summer, and he has recently suggested he could soon end his loan spell in the MLS and head to White Hart Lane to solve their problems at full-back.
