The Reds striker took to Instagram with a message of thanks - and a promise.
The Italian took to social media site Instagram to post a photo of a banner supporters had made in tribute to him.
In the post, he thanked those supporters but admitted he has not been good enough for Brendan Rodgers' side so far.
And with that admission came a vow that the 24-year-old will score more goals and show more 'genius' for the Reds.
"I have nothing to declare except my genius? Wow thanks to whoever did this. I know all of you expect more from me .. More goals especially and more "genius" but give me time and I'll show it's true," Balotelli wrote.
The Italian moved to Merseyside for a fee of £16 million this summer, which many considered to be a bargain.
Since, however, Balotelli's form has made his price-tag look rather exorbitant.
The 24-year-old has only just started at Liverpool, though, and looks much more suited to playing alongside a strike partner, which should happen once Daniel Sturridge returns from injury after the international break.
Sturridge has already returned to first-team training.
