Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj and his father have come under fire from Albania coach Gianni De Biasi.
The 19-year-old and his father have been accused of being ‘rude’ for not replying to De Biasi’s text messages.
The 58-year-old Italian has claimed that he sent text messages to Januzaj’s father on multiple occasions to convince him to have his son play for the Albania national team.
The United youngster could have played for Albania, Serbia, Turkey and Kosovo at senior international level, but he chose the country of his birth, Belgium.
De Biasi has now opened up on the situation and is quoted by Football Italia as telling La Gazzetta dello Sport: ‘I bombarded his father with text messages in three different languages, but he never replied even once. I can understand his decision to choose Belgium, but there’s no need to be rude’.
