Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been speaking about his vice-captain Jordan Henderson.

In an interview with the club’s official website, the former Bayer Leverkusen player revealed just how highly he thinks of one of the Reds’ most important stars.

“I think he’s a player who gives everything for the club,” Can said. “He’s a battler and you can see that in training too.

“He’s definitely a great player and he plays good football. I think I can learn a lot from him.”

Few would disagree with that, with Henderson growing from the youngster who arrived for big money from Sunderland into a vital part of this Liverpool side.

In other news, Conor Coady has been speaking about his time at Anfield in an interview with the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

Coady left Liverpool permanently in the summer, and he has revealed that he has no regrets.

“At the end of the day I wanted to move to Huddersfield, no matter what,” he said.

“It was my decision because I felt it was the right time in terms of my own development.”
