Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has revealed his best XI foreign players to have played in the Premier League.
And this is how Carragher’s line-up looks like:
Pablo Zabaleta - Vincent Kompany - Nemanja Vidic - Patrice Evra
Cristiano Ronaldo - Patrick Vieira – Yaya Toure – David Silva
Thierry Henry – Didier Drogba
Writing in the Daily Mail, the former England international defender explained why he chose the players that he did.
Not many will be looking to argue with Carragher over his decision to include Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel, who is one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time.
Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta’s inclusion is not a surprise either, and neither is the presence of his Citizens teammate Vincent Komapany and departed United star Nemanja Vidic in central defence. No arguments over Patrice Evra either.
Cristiano Ronaldo goes into the team pretty much by default, and so does Patrick Vieira. Some may argue the inclusion of Yaya Toure and David Silva, but there can be no discussions over Thierry Henry and Didier Drogba.
