Former Manchester United boss David Moyes reveals Cristiano Ronaldo stories

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes reveals the stories that he had heard about Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes has revealed that he was ‘fascinated' by the stories he had heard about Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers of all time and came into worldwide recognition for his performances for United.

The Portugal international was on the books of the Red Devils for six years between 2003 and 2009, winning the Premier League three times and the Champions League once among other trophies.

Ronaldo was – and is – known for his hard work off the pitch and taking care of his body. Indeed, his physical attributes and strength have been key to his success.

The former Sporting Lisbon star also worked on his skills hard, and such stories seem to have made Moyes wonderstruck.

‘When I was at Manchester United, I was fascinated to hear the stories of Cristiano Ronaldo’, the Scot told The Telegraph.

‘They just said he was an incredible trainer, the work he did, and in a way there’s no surprise that he has got to the level he has. He obviously has immense talent but he made sure he didn’t just rely on it. He worked very hard to improve it’.

Ronaldo did indeed work hard and hone his skills, and that’s why he is one of the two best footballers in the world.
