After their home World Cup campaign began with hope and expectation, Brazil came crashing back to earth with that embarrassing 7-1 defeat to Germany in the semi-finals. Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari was sacked after the humiliation, and in a surprise move, Brazil reappointed Dunga - their manager at the 2010 World Cup.
Today, they faced their fierce South America rivals Argentina in a friendly match in Beijing, and came out on top with two goals from striker Diego Tardelli. The first was a well taken volley following a defensive mix-up, whilst the second was a back post header just past the hour mark to wrap up the win.
Argentina's Barcelona star Lionel Messi had his first half penalty saved whilst Manchester United's Angel Di Maria couldn't find the breakthrough despite being clean through on goal as Brazil grabbed the win with a side that featured Chelsea trio Filipe Luis, Oscar and Willian.
Luis fared well at left back despite barely featuring for Chelsea this season, whilst Oscar and Willian were at their energetic and industrious best throughout the game - with all three no doubt pleasing Blues boss Jose Mourinho with their performances.
Chelsea fans were also impressed with the trio, and here are some of their reactions on Twitter.
But it's so, so good to finally see Oscar looking like himself again. His whole range of skills has been on display today. #CFC— Raghuram Cadambi (@raghuramcadambi) October 11, 2014

Filipe Luis is a monster. Kept Di Maria in his pocket and intercepted a lot of Messi's dangerous runs. #CFC— Césc Drogs&RocknRoll (@Binky_Ferrari) October 11, 2014
How Filipe Luis is benched in Chelsea is beyond me. Start him! Let Azpi & Ivanovic fight it out for that rightback spot. #CFC— Khalid Abdulrahim (@khalidpschwarz) October 11, 2014
