All the latest news and gossip from The Emirates Stadium this weekend.

It is being reported that Arsenal will finally complete a move for Schalke 04 midfielder Julian Draxler in January. the German international has long been a target for Arsene Wenger - with him heavily linked with the move to The Emirates last winter.

Those reports cooled this summer but are now reigniting thanks to the poor form and injury to record signing Mesut Ozil.

The £42.4 million signing from Real Madrid last summer has struggled for form in 2014 and is now out until 2015 with a knee ligament problem.

With that in mind Wenger is ready to move to the contingency - and with Lukas Podolski also threatening to leave, the £37 million release clause in Draxler's contract certainly sounds appealing.

Ozil is believed to be a target for Bayern Munich, and Arsenal are said to be considering his sale.

On the subject of Lukas Podolski, the German national coach Jogi Low has now added to the chorus of names suggesting he may need to leave Arsenal.

Podolski has recently spoken to the press about his lack of football at Arsenal. The German World Cup winner, who is a massive fan of the club and loves living in London, has made it clear he wants extra first-team opportunities or he will have to consider his place at The Emirates.

German co-ordinator Oliver Bierhoff recently echoed those sentiments and now Low has stated:

"He has played very few games for Arsenal. That he takes part in press conferences doesn’t mean that he will start for us. Lukas has shown time and time again that he can bring a lot of momentum into the game quickly.”

A move from Arsenal seems necessary if Podolski does not want to be labelled a super-sub.
