If Arturo Vidal thought the international break would provide respite from questions about his future, he was sadly mistaken.
The talented playmaker was repeatedly linked to Manchester United in the summer and those rumours have returned after a turbulent spell in Turin.
Vidal is in the doghouse with the Italian champions after he was pictured in a brawl outside a nightclub at 5.20am and there are reports that his attitude is causing trouble for Juventus.
Some Italian press sources believe that Juventus are now ready to drop their asking price for Vidal from £50 million to £35 million, which may also be partly as a response to his continued battle against injury problems.
However, Vidal's knee problems were said to be the major reason United didn't swoop in the summer and he has done little to assuage those doubts.
If the Italian media are keen to know Vidal's next move, then their Chilean counterparts are almost hysterical.
He has since been making all possible efforts to avoid any journalists and seems to be intending not to comment in any way ahead of the game against Peru.
Vidal may not be risked in a friendly given the fears over his knee and the media furore.
