Townsend & Mason react to Harry Kane's performance for England's Under-21s

The Tottenham Hotspur striker scored during his side's play-off against Croatia.

Harry Kane found the net again while playing for the England Under-21s during the first leg of their European qualifying play-off against Croatia.

And two of his Spurs team-mates are far from surprised.

Indeed, Andros Townsend and Ryan Mason were quick to react to the goal on Twitter, praising their Tottenham team-mate for yet another goal this season.

Interestingly, though, the young striker is yet to score in the Premier League, having netted in both the Europa League and Capital One Cup for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

He was on hand on this occasion for Gareth Southgate's Under-21s, however, and scored an important equaliser after the visiting Croatians had taken a first-half lead.

Kane's team-mates obviously have a lot of faith in him, though it will be interesting to see what kind of impact he can make after the international break.

The sum of his contributions in the league so far was an own goal against Sunderland.

Kane is nevertheless a regular scorer for the England Under-21s and his latest strike could prove very important for them indeed.
