Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has been voted behind Cristiano Ronaldo as the best striker in the world.
Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has been voted the best striker in the world via a poll run by the Sun.
The poll asked fans to back their selections on Twitter via retweets and the Real Madrid star came out on top ahead of current Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao who was in second place.
Falcao is off the mark for United but his position in second will be a surprise considering the three players who follow him; Diego Costa of Chelsea, Lionel Messi of Barcelona and Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Paris Saint-Germain.
Costa has been the most impressive striker in the Premier League this season with nine goals in seven games while the records of Messi and Ibrahimovic at European are clear for all to see.
Ronaldo’s potential return to Manchester United is the subject of ongoing speculation though his agent, Jorge Mendes, has just played down the possibility of his exit from the Bernabeu.
