In an unexpected revelation, reports are claiming that Juventus star Arturo Vidal has been offered to Real Madrid by the player's agent.
Vidal's future remains the subject of serious doubt after recent clashes with the Juventus directors and pictures surfacing of a scuffle at 5am outside a bar in Turin.
It has been suggested that Juventus would now be willing to accept £35 million for Vidal whereas there were rumoured to have been willing to reject £50 million in the summer.
The club that have been repeatedly linked to Vidal are Manchester United, but it is believed that fears over the state of Vidal's knee meant the Premier League side chose not to chase him.
Fresh reports from Tuttosport suggest that Vidal may in fact be closer to joining Real Madrid because the player's representative, Fernando Felicevich, is said to have spoken to the Spanish giants and tried to secure an offer.
The story was first reported on Spanish TV and has circulated across the Italian media. It is suggested that Felicevich recently told Real they would need 'around 50 million or 55 million' to get Vidal away from Juventus.
However, it is believed that Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez is not convinced because of the recent stories about Vidal's private life.
It will be interesting to see if any club emerges with a bid in January or whether Vidal is becoming a less attractive proposition.
