Championship-chasing Norwich City edged a 2-1 triumph over West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground earlier today, Friday.
However, the main story from a Hammers perspective was not the result, but the 90-minute run-out of captain Kevin Nolan who is looking to continually improve his full match fitness.
"It was nice to get another 90 minutes," said Nolan on the club's official website, five days after playing a 14 minute cameo in West Ham's 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League.
"I felt a lot better than I did eight or nine days ago and it's coming back slowly but surely," he added.
"I've got to keep on working as hard as I can, training as hard as I can and hopefully I'll get my chance.
"I'm about three or weeks ahead of schedule from when I first suffered the injury and all the physios and coaching staff have been great. That support makes you want to be back."
Due to the international break, West Ham are not in action this weekend but travel to Burnley on Saturday week.
Nolan will likely feature.
