Former Arsenal defender Andre Santos is currently in India preparing for the Indian Super League which starts later this month.
The 31-year-old Brazilian will feature in the money-spinning tournament for FC Goa over the next three months.
The versatile Santos, who can play both as a left-back and a left-winger, is looking forward to the adventure in India.
‘It’s not just a matter of three months’, he told Goal.com. ‘I came to aim of being a champion. I am going to work hard to make sure that we reach our objective’.
Santos was on the books of Arsenal between 2011 and 2013, but he could make only 25 Premier League appearances for the Gunners during that period.
Prior to joining the North London club, the Brazilian played for Fenerbahce, where he was successful, and he is ready to play in any position he is asked to by FC Goa coach Zico.
‘I don’t see any problem playing as a left back or a left midfielder’, he said. ‘When at Fenerbahce, I scored a lot of goals playing as an attacking midfielder in one season. The other season, I played as a left back and we won the Championship. So I don’t see any problem’.
