Catalan newspaper Sport claims Barcelona are already thinking ahead to players they can sign in 2016 when their transfer ban ends.
The Nou Camp giants are restricted from doing any business in the next two transfer windows and Sport has produced a list of eight players that Barca are reportedly going to target to sign when they’re allowed to bring in players again.
On the list are three players who have been linked with moves to Tottenham Hotspur in the recent past; Martin Odegaard, Viktor Fischer and Zakaria Bakkali.
Barca’s interest in Odegaard is well known and the Spanish club are thought to be among the first to make contact with him and his father, inviting them both to Spain to show off their facilities.
Spurs are thought to be one of dozens of clubs tracking the teenager who has made history by becoming one of the youngest ever players to play senior international football with the Norwegian national team.
Fisher is one of the most promising young forwards in European football and unsurprisingly, Ajax have been protective of him as several clubs are reported to have scouted him.
He’s also been linked with Tottenham’s Premier League rivals Manchester United, but Ajax always make it difficult for any side trying to come in and sign one of their younger and under developed players.
Where Tottenham could get ahead in any race to sign Fischer is through the way they have treated Christian Eriksen.
They signed the Dane from Ajax, allowing him the luxury of being able to leave on his own terms and he’s a good example of a player who has developed well at White Hart Lane.
Teenage winger Zakaria Bakkali has also been linked with plenty of European sides, including Spurs, after a great start to his senior career with PSV Eindhoven.
Spurs do have space in their squad for a wide player to come in but he’s been well protected by PSV who have been dismissive of the idea that he could leave the club imminently, which fits into Barca’s proposed plans and timeline.
