Nottingham Forest fans react to Jack Hobbs' latest injury: "A massive blow!"

Nottingham Forest defender Jack Hobbs has been dealt with yet another injury blow, with the centre back needing surgery on an ankle injury.

Nottingham Forest remain unbeaten in the Championship after a bright start to life under new manager Stuart Pearce, winning five of their opening 11 games to take second spot with 21 points.

Sunday's draw with Ipswich Town was their fourth in a row, with goals hard to come by over the last month or so. Yet so far, Forest have conceded only nine goals this season, making them the third meanest defence in the Championship.

However, Pearce's defence has taken something of a hit with yet another injury to centre back Jack Hobbs. The former Liverpool defender was ruled out with an ankle injury in March, and whilst he returned this season, he's now out of action once again as his ankle problems continue.

Hobbs will now have surgery to repair his ankle, and will now be sidelined until at least Christmas as he recovers. The 26-year-old is now at risk of really dropping down the pecking order at the City Ground, with Michael Mancienne, Jamaal Lascelles, Kelvin Wilson and Danny Collins fighting for places in Pearce's side.

It's yet another in a long line of injuries for Hobbs, and Forest fans reacted on Twitter with disappointment and frustration, with some questioning whether he will play again.
