Man who ‘dreamed of’ Manchester United eyed by Juventus and Chelsea

Stuttgart defender Antonio Rüdiger seems to have a long list of admirers with reports that Juventus have joined the queue.

German international defender Antonio Rüdiger has previously admitted that playing for Manchester United would be a 'dream', but Juventus and Chelsea are also reportedly hoping to sign him.

The 21-year-old has made 50 appearances for Stuttgart and impressed sufficiently to be part of the German national set-up.

In a recent interview Rüdiger surprisingly declared that he was aware Manchester United were interested in him and confessed that he'd dreamed of Premier League football.

It seems almost inevitable that the rising star will join a bigger club soon but he may be spoilt for choice.

According to Tuttosport, Italian champions Juventus are determined to sign him and will intensify their efforts due to their current defensive injury crisis.

But the Old Lady will be up against several clubs, reportedly including Chelsea, West Ham and Bayern Munich.

The lure of Premier League football may ultimately prove crucial and Chelsea may be in the strongest position, unless Manchester United do come forward.
