Liverpool are interested in signing midfielder Alex Song from Barcelona at the end of his loan spell at West Ham United according to a report in Spain.
Fichajes.net is the source claiming that Liverpool will look to sign the 27-year-old at the end of the season. There were reports linking them with a move for Song in the most recent transfer window as the Cameroon international was surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp.
Divock Origi, the striker Liverpool signed in the summer only for him to be loaned back to Lille, has said the club are in constant contact with him, and said that manager Brendan Rodgers wanted him to be part of the squad immediately.
The Liverpool Echo have picked up on quotes from the Belgian, saying: "Rodgers wanted to add me to his squad immediately, but Lille wanted me to stay for 1 more season. I had no choice."
Fabio Borini is happy at Liverpool according to his agent Marco De Marchi, after deciding against moves to either Sunderland or Queens Park Rangers in the transfer window.
The Italian has so far made three appearances for the Reds this season, and remains very much the fourth-choice striker, and there have been reports linking him with a loan move away from the club since.
De Marchi is quoted, saying: "At this moment I am certainly not going to look for another club, as the boy is happy to remain at Liverpool. Let’s not forget he left a journey he already started at Roma in order to come to England."
