Back in April plenty of big name clubs were linked with the signature of Sheffield United teenager Diego De Girolamo.
The Italian-English youngster was being chased by Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United after returning from a knee problem still possessing the talent that had seen him so highly rated early on in his career.
It was not only the teams in England who were said to be looking at him back in April. Italian giants Juventus reportedly sent scouts over to watch him.
So here is clearly a player with a bright future, so how is he getting on at League One Sheffield United.
But De Girolamo has only played 19 minutes of league football for The Blades in two appearances.
This season he has featured for just over an hour in the Football League Trophy against Hartlepool United.
So in the space of six months he has gone from being courted by United, Arsenal and Juventus to being sent out on loan ... to York City.
The League Two club have agreed a one-month loan deal to join up with Nigel Worthington's side, the former Northern Ireland boss saying of his arrival:
"He's neat and tidy, he can create things and make chances for other people."
For De Girolamo this is an opportunity to prove his worth to Nigel Clough and work his way into the Sheffield United first-team when he returns to Brammal Lane.
Who knows, in time he might have earned himself links to the top clubs in Europe once again.
