Everton boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed Kevin Mirallas faces a spell out of the side due to injury.
The club confirmed the news via their Twitter feed after Martinez spoke to Everton TV earlier in the day:
MARTINEZ ON MIRALLAS: "Kevin has got a typical sprinting injury. We expect him to be out for a few weeks as well." #EFC— Everton (@Everton) October 9, 2014
Martinez was also referencing the bad news revealed earlier in the day, relating to England defender John Stones.
The youngster is reported to be out for 10-14 weeks, reported The Independent.
After a poor start to the season, losing two key first team players is a serious blow to the club, and this is where the club's squad depth will really be tested.
Everton sit 17th, with one win and six points from seven games played to date heading into the international break.
