Last night it was being reported that Liverpool starlet Suso was all set to leave Liverpool, after reportedly agreeing a pre-contract agreement with AC Milan.
The talented Spaniard has always been a highly regarded member of the youth set-up at Liverpool, and was a regular in the first-team at the start of last season..
But first-team opportunities dried up and he was loaned out to Almeria for the second half of last season.
This campaign has not seen him feature must either and with his contract expiring in the summer Milan are believed to have been lurking for some time.
Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio broke the news yesterday that he would be on his way, possibly as early as January if an agreement can be found between the two clubs over an early departure from the final six months of his contract.
Now, the player himself has reportedly spoken about the news. In quotes reported by Italian source TuttoMercatoWeb Suso says he will only stay at Liverpool if he is guaranteed first-team football:
"My future? I will only be renewing at Liverpool with the guarantee I play regularly."
But with the likes of Lazar Markovic and Adam Lallana arriving this summer and Rahemm Sterling and Philippe Coutinho also in the way of his progress Suso looks increasingly likely to fulfill his potential in Italy - not England.
