Southampton striker Graziano Pelle has highlighted the difference between Ronald Koeman and Antonio Conte.
The 29-year-old is currently working with both managers: with Koeman at the Saints and Conte at the Italy national team.
‘Koeman and Conte are very different, but I like both of them’, he told reporters. ‘Koeman is calmer, he doesn’t show many emotions, whilst Conte works a lot on details, he works on tactics a lot’.
This season Pelle has burst into life and is showing the footballing world what he can do - thus his call-up to the Italy national team. Having struggled at AZ and Parma, the Italian recovered his form and scoring touch at Feyenoord over the past two seasons.
The striker scored 23 goals in 28 Eredivisie games in the 2013-14 campaign to help the Rotterdam outfit finish second in the league table. Koeman was in charge of Feyenoord and, following his move to Southampton in the summer, he signed Pelle.
The Dutchman has shown what a brilliant manager he can be, while Conte is a proven winner, having led Juventus to three successive Scudetti.
Working with Koeman and Conte is only going to help Pelle, who despite being 29, must surely believe that his best years are ahead of him.
