The League Cup wonder goal was a sight to behold from a player who looked eager to kickstart his Tottenham career.
September wasn't the best month for goals if you were a Spurs fans, several scrappy strikes found the back of the net, while there were also a couple of games where Mauricio Pochettino's outfit failed to register.
However, there were a couple of goals that would have certainly gotten supporters off their seats, and the official Tottenham website asked fans to vote for their goal of the month for September.
It wasn't a surprise to see Nacer Chadli's effort at Arsenal so high up the list, while Roberto Soldado's goal against Nottingham Forest was also a decent strike, but it seemed inevitable that Ryan Mason's 35 yard thunderbolt to draw Spurs level in that same game would win out, winning 59.1% of the votes cast on Facebook, Twitter and the official Tottenham website.
The 23-year-old's first goal for the club came six years after he made his debut, and was certainly worth the wait, as he steadied himself before hitting an unstoppable shot past Dorus de Vries and into the top corner.
That goal, as well as his performance in the game, has also seen Mason claim a regular starting role in the Tottenham first team, with the midfielder completing 90 minutes in the two Premier League games since.
Below are the results from the vote:
Ryan Mason vs Forest - 59.1%
Nacer Chadli vs Arsenal - 22.4%
Roberto Soldado vs Forest - 8.3%
Ryan Mason - U21s v Southampton - 6.1%
Harry Kane vs Forest - 4.1%
