Arsenal player Mesut Ozil has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a knee injury, and the news has been greeted with understandable sympathy from the German's club and international teammate Lukas Podolski.
The forward sent a message to Ozil on Twitter earlier today, along with a photograph of the two players in happier times on the Gunners' training pitch.
"Damn!!," Podolski wrote. "Get well bro. Hope you're back on the pitch soon."
The latest news is yet another blow for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who has had to make do without a number of players already this season.
Mathieu Debuchy is another long-term absentee, while the likes of Serge Gnabry and Theo Walcott are recovering from setbacks of their own.
A MRI scan on Wednesday showed damage to Ozil's knee and it was later announced that Arsenal would be without their club-record signing for quite some time.
