Gennaro Gattuso made his name as a pugnacious midfielder who took no prisoners, but he has revealed that he is an admirer of Jose Mourinho.
The 36-year-old is now coach at OFI Crete but he hasn't lost any of his fire. Gattuso recently swore at journalists in a post-match press conference and his passion is clear on the sidelines.
At a conference in Paris organised by Aspire, Gattuso was asked about his aspirations as a coach and he took the chance to praise Chelsea manager Mourinho.
"He puts the team group before everything and he has a special relationship with the media.
"I see similarities between myself and Luis Enrique. He has fire inside and he shows it. He says what he thinks and he isn't afraid to be hard with players who go against the group.
"As a player I was coached by two masters in Carlo Ancelotti and Marcello Lippi, two complete opposites."
After five games of the season, OFI are sitting in eleventh in the Greek Superleague table with two wins and three defeats.
